DVD FILM
The Doctors “video visit” will inspire your children’s role-play having watched the doctor examining patients. In the film we see temperatures being taken, reflexes tested and weight and blood pressure measured. We also follow a young girl and her mother taking a prescription to the Pharmacy and returning home to take her medicine. This excellent topic helps children to learn never to touch medication without an adult whilst raising their awareness of dosage and safety warnings, extending children's Doctor role-play knowledge.

INTERACTIVE CD ROM
The CD ROM is easy to install and seeks to raise awareness of healthy living. The games include “diet and exercise” and “tell me where it hurts”. Both introduce children to words and concepts they may not be familiar with. Numerical tasks include counting tablets, sequencing a visit to the doctor, comparing bandages and recognizing numerals. Amongst the games is one that asks children to match the “real” medical instrument to the “play” one from their Doctor’s Case as they hear its proper name and what it is used for.
This excellent book follows a doctor on an average day. You will see Dr Fiona at the surgery with the patients and out on home visits. This high quality book links perfectly with the Play Pack and will aid group discussion.
